Murray Bleach
Interim Chief Executive Officer

Murray commenced his career as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick in Sydney, Australia and Dallas, Texas.

In 1987 he joined Bankers Trust Australia, where he worked in Capital Markets, Structured Finance and ultimately led the transportation sector acquisition and finance businesses. As part of Macquarie Bank’s acquisition of Bankers Trust Australia, Murray moved to Macquarie in 1999.

Murray transferred to Macquarie’s New York office in 2000 to lead and develop the North American Infrastructure business. In 2004 Murray was appointed Head of North America and Director and Co-CEO of Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc and President of Macquarie Holdings (USA) Inc.

In addition to managing and running the Investment Banking / Corporate Finance business, Murray was ultimately responsible for Macquarie’s wide range of investment and business activities across North America.

Murray returned to Australia in 2008 to become Global Head of Macquarie’s Private Placements Group, with responsibility for the distribution of unlisted equity product (including infrastructure funds) to institutional investors globally. Murray held this position until he retired from Macquarie Group on 18 December 2009.

Murray is a Chartered Accountant and has a Master of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Arts (Financial Studies).

Luke Oxenham
Chief Financial Officer

Luke was Head of Investor Relations for MIG. Luke has over 18 years’ experience in finance and equity markets. Luke joined MIG in July 2008 from Deutsche Bank Australia where he was involved in the equity and equity capital markets business.

Prior to Deutsche Bank Australia Luke worked for Promina Group Limited for four years in various roles including General Manager of Corporate and External Affairs, as well as Head of the Budgeting and Forecasting division.

At National Australia Bank Luke worked for over 10 years in various roles within the corporate and institutional banking division both in Australia and at Clydesdale Bank in the UK. These advisory roles focused on interest rate, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives and risk management strategies. Luke has also held positions at Metway Bank (now Suncorp).

Luke has a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology.



Andrew Sims
Chief Operating Officer

Andrew was a Division Director in Macquarie Capital Funds, and was responsible for management of Macquarie Infrastructure Group’s Australian activities. He is a Director of Westlink Motorway Group (Sydney) and a former director of ConnectEast Group (ASX: CEU).

Andrew has led a number of acquisitions (including financings) and sales in Australia, Canada and the United States. Recent transactions include establishment of debt facilities related to MIG’s investments in Westlink M7 (2008), and sale of MIG’s interests in Westlink (2009).

Andrew joined Macquarie in 1994. Prior to joining Macquarie, Andrew spent six years in the banking and finance practice of a major Accounting firm.

Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce (UNSW), is a member, Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a Fellow, Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
